That said, in my experience, when a CRAM shells hits a turret head, it's not because it had been targeted, but because of sheer luck.
I guess my CRAM guns aren't so good at aiming.

Just look at the Battleship Brawl battles. Even relying on sheer luck turrets frequently take hits.

CRAMs can get decently accurate assuming the target isn't moving around much.

I can sail my airplane in space.

I can agree that turrets are destroyed somewhat easily, which is why I have 4 or 5 layers of heavy armour and 6 strength 10 shields around the main cannon of the Leviathan (attachment)

That's quite a big turret!
I like that!

Glad you like it! Big Grin

You can use it if you want. Just give credit if you upload. (also the shields take ALOT of engine power)

Again the idea is very very hard to solve.

If you make AI target ANYTHING important, high velocity spamfire guns will probably end up being the meta.

The best thing we can do is just make the ships target random areas randomly every X amount of seconds, which is more than fair.

Making AI target vitals means that all you have to do is encase said vitals in shields and armour, and hope for the best, making armour layouts irrelevant as its hard to sink. (or, fliers fucking fly, duh)
