Maru-Yu

Maru-Yu

By Green

Designed and built by the Imperial Japanese navy in 1943, and produced until 1945, the Maru-Yu is a cargo and transport submarine, only armed with a single deck gun to its name and often joked about for being so impractical, the crew of the Japanese Cruiser, Kiso. once remarked “So what are you? Are you seriously a submarine?” (In Japanese, of course) when seeing a Maru-Yu model Submarine because of how small and unarmed it was. She possesses a single 37mm Deck Gun and lacks any other armaments apart from that

Idea is that you place a Discarder in the back of your shell which acts like a discarding sabot round would.
  • Various campaign vehicles modified to work under earthlike physics. June 17, 2018
So I've been trying to build vehicles for FTD's Earth default settings of the game configuration lately, because those physics settings are harder to build for and more fun to play in than the Neter standards. (0.1 drag, 0.2 thrust from any component, 0.75 buoyancy to Neter's 1.25, and 2x damage.) Of course, to really […]
  • Crash when launching June 17, 2018
Just updated windows to 10 and installed FTD but every time I press play through steam, it would open then says it crashed. Tried playing via the application itself but the same thing happens.   output_log.txt (Size: 22.48 KB / Downloads: 1)
  • Fix the Stupid Water Physics (Bouncing, mostly) June 16, 2018
I think that some change a few months ago, not sure which update, made even well-balanced and well-made ships bounce. I don't mean going up a meter or 2 over the desired waterline. I mean 5-15 meters. I have an ironclad I made for the OW campaign, which bounces between -3m (underwater) and 7m (above […]
  • What is your favourite foe in From the Depths? June 16, 2018
Though they are the simplest faction to beat, I am particular to the deepwater guards' designs. I used to love (and dread) the old kalmar in my noob days, and the newer airships are also very nice. Overall, I've had most fun designing counters to the plunderer, overcoming it by a small margin at first, […]

  • [Campaign Setup] Reinstate the early game assault waves? June 16, 2018
I remember fondly when starting the campaign meant getting ready for the sinners luck and a riverhome to come knocking on your door within the next few in-game hours. It gave a fight to look out for, a neat challenge to construct good early game vessels, and a change to kickstart your warmachine by capturing […]
  • June week 2 update June 16, 2018
As per last week's update progress is going well on the four main topics: 1) Work through the remaining "snags" very nearly complete with this one 2) Finish integrating the new water setup in FTD and customise it to suit the different planets Completed a first pass for Neter and now back in to do […]
  • [Battleship] HMS Saint-Bernadette June 15, 2018
Description: After several trial-and-errors and failed concepts (and wasted time and effort), the Starsaber class dreadnought finally passed NORDOC Industries' strict requirements and is now slated for deployment on the planet Neter, with HMS Saint-Bernadette as the flagship of the company's expansion operations into Fishbone Island and High Lorham. NORDOC executives, once combat trials are […]
  • APS firing piece is not connecting. June 15, 2018
Hey everyone. I stumbled on Aner-Dyfan APS blaster tutorial and decided to replicate his turret with a bit different autoloader placement. All went fair and well until a tried to place a firing piece. If i place it directly on the gauge increasers line that is in the middle of the turret its ok. But […]
